Foundation for African Children's Education
The president of Focus on Africa Society, Mr. Joseph Frimping, announced in April 2009 that Focus has absorbed the FACE organization, making it a wholly owned subsidary of Focus on Africa Society.
FACE has the mandate to promote the education of under-privileged promary school children in rural Africa. FACE does this by seeking individual sponsors to sponsor children to attend primary school.
The sponsored children are the ones who could otherwise not attend school because of lack of finances of the parents. The sponsored child is visited yearly by FACE volunteers and they receive school esssentials (uniforms, textbooks, shoes, pens, pencils, backpacks, and some lunch money) to enable the child to attend school.
