Mission & Goals
Mission
Focus aims at enhancing the quality of life of rural Africans by mobilizing and harnessing local and international resources for social development
Focus will discharge its responsibility as a leader in charitable work by acting with complete integrity to carry out, to the highest possible standards, its mandate of enhancing the scale of wellbeing of rural Africans, and thereby contributing to the wider public good, the advancement of fundamental human rights, and the reduction of rural-urban migration and brain drain.
Focus' organizing philosophy is self-help, by which it seeks to give practical effect to the recognition that sustainable social developments must stem from the conditions and efforts of the people. The founders of focus believe that, while governments have important roles to play in rural development, responsibility for the development initiatives ultimately rests with the people.
